📋 Description

• The Key Account Manager collaborates with the most critical accounts within the Avient portfolio, encompassing both existing and targeted new clients.

• This role entails the overall responsibility for establishing, nurturing, and leveraging executive relationships with strategic accounts, which enables Avient to enhance customer loyalty, revenue, and profitability.

• The position requires the ability to sell across all management levels and foster relationships that ensure Avient consistently receives the first and last opportunity for business.

• This role demands a thought leader capable of influencing cross-functionally and on a global scale.

• The individual must operate independently while effectively coaching matrix personnel across various disciplines and business units to achieve desired outcomes.

• Proficiency in Customer-Centric selling methodologies and effectively communicating the value of our products and services are vital for success.

• The individual should assist customers in problem-solving to deliver effective solutions, while bringing energy, enthusiasm, and professionalism to their daily tasks.

• This position requires the individual to execute responsibilities autonomously without direct supervision and to successfully engage and influence at the managerial peer level.

• Travel of up to 75% is necessary.


⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience is required.

• A minimum of 10 years of sales experience is essential.

• Experience in generating comprehensive account plans for strategic key accounts that align with broader strategic initiatives and Avient solutions is necessary.

• A high degree of ownership is expected, acting as a business leader for key initiatives and deliverables.

• Proven track record of profitable revenue growth, including strong new business development experience.

• The ability to approach the sales process with a high level of professionalism and effectiveness through successful application of customer-centric selling skills and tools, such as scorecards, business reviews, EVE tools, high/wide/deep strategies, 5 warning signs, prospecting & new account calls, robust sales funnel development, collecting ARs, avoiding bad debts, cross-selling, and effective CRM system management.

• A history of delivering year-over-year growth in Operating Income and Sales, demonstrating a proven ability to grow a business.

• The capacity to coach, mentor, and develop direct reports is a critical aspect of this role.

• Strong business acumen for managing a P&L, working capital, and profitability is required.
