📋 Description

• Identify and nurture professional relationships with key opinion leaders (KOLs) and leading centers within the pulmonary hypertension (PH) community.

• Develop and sustain professional connections with national and regional PH Centers and KOLs.

• Generate business insights and seek engagement opportunities for Liquidia, including advisory boards, speaker bureaus, congresses, and regional symposiums, as well as sales training.

• Identify and cultivate KOLs for both regional and national engagement.

• Collaborate ethically and compliantly with Medical Affairs on strategic initiatives involving shared KOLs.

• Lead regional direct marketing strategies and tactics aimed at targeted accounts and KOLs.

• Collect and convey KOL insights through interactions regarding current treatment practices and future therapies that influence the development of commercial and marketing strategies, initiatives, and resources.

• Collaborate with the commercial sales team to pinpoint key accounts, thought leaders, issues, and trends within specific geographical regions.

• Serve as a liaison between KOLs and Liquidia, fostering connections with cross-functional partners and other healthcare professionals.

• Develop and implement strategies for KOL participation in congresses and support their development.

• Lead the creation and delivery of regional speaker programs, including speaker training, content development, and program attendance.

• Compliantly assist in planning Liquidia marketing advisory boards by identifying advisors and meeting objectives.

• In partnership with cross-functional colleagues, provide access and reimbursement support and education at regional accounts.

• Establish and maintain relationships between SP field team members and the market access team.

• Understand the payer reimbursement landscape and support the communication of market access value positioning for the brand.

• Identify and address specific brand access challenges and leverage resources to work towards their resolution.

• Uphold the highest standards in accordance with Liquidia’s code of ethics and compliance SOPs, ensuring all interactions with KOLs adhere to commercial, regulatory, and legal guidelines.


⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor of Science Degree or equivalent qualification.

• Prior experience in pulmonary arterial hypertension (PAH) or pulmonary hypertension interstitial lung disease (PHILD) and established KOL relationships.

• At least 5 years of experience within the PH therapeutic area.

• Minimum of 5 years of relevant work experience in one or more of the following functions: marketing, clinical liaison, thought leader management, key account management, market access, or clinical sales.

• Proven history of consistently meeting or surpassing expectations in assigned duties.

• Ability to establish credibility and trust with KOLs.

• Strategic mindset with the capability to anticipate and interpret KOL perspectives, identifying opportunities to support commercial and marketing strategies, messaging, and resources.

• Collaborative approach in building trusted relationships with cross-functional partners.

• Profound knowledge of academic medical centers, including understanding referral patterns and networks.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present to both large and small audiences.

• Strong understanding of product and pulmonary hypertension disease state.

• Strategic, passionate self-starter who takes initiative and demonstrates the ability to lead through change, ambiguity, and complexity.

• Comprehensive understanding of the laws, regulations, and rules governing the pharmaceutical industry, with a history of ethical and compliant behavior.

• Outstanding organizational skills.

• Willingness to travel 60%-80% of the time.
