Key Account Billing Specialist – Healthcare

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in North Carolina, +3 more states.

📋 Description

• Accountable for creating strategies designed to minimize addressable bad debt.

• Collaborate with both internal and external stakeholders to enhance process efficiency.

• Engage directly with clients and/or Sales to resolve outstanding client balances.

• Coordinate with Corporate Billing on initiatives that involve customer interactions.

• Deliver billing training sessions to phlebotomists, Sales teams, and clients.

• Work alongside clients and divisional staff to address and resolve billing concerns.

• Perform thorough client audits to evaluate denial rates.

• Lead and actively participate in monthly sales meetings.

⛳️ Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in a business-to-business credit and accounts receivable role.

• A Bachelor's degree in business, accounting, or finance is preferred.

• At least 2 years of experience in the healthcare sector is preferred.

• Proficient in Microsoft Excel is essential.

• Strong understanding and relevant experience in billing within the medical diagnostic laboratory field.

• Expertise in all facets of Revenue Cycle Management (Billing) and Accounts Receivable processes.

• Familiarity with EMRs and their applications.

• Excellent organizational, follow-up, and time management abilities.

• Capability to conduct root cause analysis and propose potential solutions for issues.
