This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.
• Develop, enhance, and provide support for solutions within the streaming integration sector.
• Create applications based on Kafka for our clients.
• Engage in intermediate to low-level design and development following established architectural patterns.
• Participate actively in the entire software development lifecycle, which includes design, development, testing, and deployment.
• Conduct detailed design of solution components within event-driven architecture solutions.
• Collaborate with architects to grasp context, patterns, technology selections, and integrations.
• Design and create event schemas, documenting designs according to business and technical specifications.
• Work closely with clients to gather detailed requirements and identify any gaps.
• Provide constructive feedback on solutions to the architecture team.
• Design Kafka topics and their configurations.
• Develop Java microservices and applications.
• Create streaming applications using Apache Flink.
• Configure and deploy connectors that integrate with external systems.
• Assist with deployment and testing using Kubernetes, CI/CD, and various deployment/configuration platforms.
• Analyze and resolve bugs.
• Design and implement infrastructure with a focus on reliability, availability, durability, and performance.
• Convert business requirements into technical designs and development roadmaps.
• Execute unit and integration testing, validating results with stakeholders.
• Troubleshoot data issues, defects, and performance bottlenecks.
• Provide ongoing support for production systems and implement enhancements.
• Minimum of three (3) years of experience in an Information Technology role focused on integration and Java development.
• Proficient in source code management tools, particularly Git.
• Familiarity with Java build tools and concepts, including Gradle and Maven.
• Strong skills in Spring Boot.
• Extensive experience with Kafka and the Confluent Platform.
• Experience integrating Java with Kafka using Kafka-Client and/or Kafka-Streams.
• Knowledge of Kafka Connect and Flink.
• Experience with Avro.
• Understanding of event-driven architecture (EDA) principles.
• Bachelor’s Degree is preferred.
• Ability to sit for prolonged periods at a desk while working on a computer.
• Must be capable of lifting up to 15 pounds occasionally.
