K-12 English Tutor

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Hawaii, +7 more states.

📋 Description

• Provide tutoring to students in our online classroom in an engaging and supportive manner.

• Tailor lesson plans to address the individual needs of students, keeping them actively involved in the material.

• Acquaint yourself with each student’s school curriculum.

• Demonstrate professionalism and accountability consistently by attending tutoring sessions punctually, responding to students and parents promptly, and ensuring students are responsible for their assignments.

• Establish a welcoming, safe, and encouraging learning environment.

• Consistently document student progress and share this information with both students and parents.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree completed or currently in progress.

• Confident and engaging facilitator of discussions.

• High school level expertise in academic subjects, as evidenced by educational background or relevant work experience.

• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.

• Availability during after-school hours and/or weekends; daytime availability during the summer is a plus.

• Candidates must successfully pass a qualifying exam.

• Must have access to a reliable internet connection and a computer in a consistently quiet environment.

• Prior experience with one-on-one tutoring is preferred.

• Experience in online teaching is preferred.
