This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in France.

📋 Description

• Oversee the legal strategy for high-stakes tenders and provide counsel on deal structures.

• Draft and negotiate intricate agreements with both private and governmental entities.

• Offer continuous legal support for EPC, turnkey, LTSA, and O&M mega-projects.

• Collaborate with Contract and Project Management teams regarding amendments, variation orders, and claims management.

• Manage regional disputes through litigation, arbitration, mediation, or settlement negotiations.

• Counsel on legal and regulatory compliance throughout France, the EU, and SEMEA.

• Work with EHS, IP, HR, and Compliance teams to establish best practices.

• Develop and provide legal training materials.

• Contribute to the creation of standardized legal templates and tools.

• Travel within SEMEA to support project sites, conduct in-person negotiations, and engage with regional stakeholders.

⛳️ Requirements

• LL.B., JD, or an equivalent law degree from a recognized law school.

• Must be an Avocat in France or a member in good standing of the bar in an appropriate jurisdiction.

• A minimum of 6 years of relevant experience.

• Preferred experience as in-house counsel or in a prestigious law firm.

• Proven experience in complex cross-border commercial transactions within the energy, construction, or infrastructure sectors.

• Extensive background in claims management and dispute resolution.

• Mandatory fluency in French and English.

• Additional proficiency in other European languages or Arabic is highly preferred.

• Capability to influence leadership within a complex, international, matrixed organization.

• Proactive approach to managing ambiguity, rapid changes, and high-pressure deadlines.

• Practical, solution-focused mindset toward simplifying intricate legal matters.

• Comfort with utilizing legal AI tools and methodologies for process simplification.

• Outstanding interpersonal and presentation skills across diverse cultural and geographical contexts.

• Willingness and ability to travel within SEMEA approximately 25% of the time.
