Junior Systems Administrator

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Oversee, maintain, and troubleshoot Linux-based systems in production settings.

• Deploy, manage, and provide support for containerized applications utilizing Docker and/or Podman.

• Assist in container orchestration platforms like Docker Compose for deployment, troubleshooting, and operational support.

• Automate system configuration and provisioning tasks with Ansible.

• Create and sustain scripts (Bash, Python) to automate regular operational duties.

• Monitor system performance, diagnose issues, and address incidents across both infrastructure and application layers.

• Uphold system security measures, including patching, access control, and certificate management.

• Offer support for Java applications utilizing the Spring framework operating on Tomcat with Nginx.

• Document system configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting steps.

⛳️ Requirements

• Background in working within highly regulated environments.

• 3 to 7+ years of experience as a Linux Systems Administrator.

• Extensive experience in Linux system administration (RHEL, Ubuntu, or similar).

• Practical experience with containerization technologies such as Docker or Podman.

• Familiarity with automation tools like Ansible.

• Competence in scripting languages (Bash and/or Python).

• Strong troubleshooting abilities and problem-solving skills.
