Junior Systems Administrator

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Oversee, maintain, and resolve issues in Linux-based systems within production settings.

• Implement, manage, and provide support for containerized applications utilizing Docker and/or Podman.

• Assist in the operation of container orchestration platforms, including Docker Compose (deployment, troubleshooting, and management).

• Automate system configuration and provisioning processes using Ansible.

• Create and sustain scripts (Bash, Python) to streamline routine operational activities.

• Monitor system performance, diagnose problems, and address incidents across both infrastructure and application layers.

• Ensure system security through patch management, access controls, and certificate oversight.

• Offer support for Java applications that utilize the Spring framework running on Tomcat with Nginx.

• Maintain documentation for system configurations, processes, and troubleshooting methodologies.

⛳️ Requirements

• Experience in environments with stringent regulatory standards.

• 3 - 7+ years of experience as a Linux Systems Administrator.

• Extensive knowledge of Linux system administration (RHEL, Ubuntu, or equivalent).

• Practical experience with containerization through Docker or Podman.

• Familiarity with automation tools like Ansible.

• Competence in scripting with Bash and/or Python.

• Strong abilities in troubleshooting and problem resolution.
