This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Provide guidance to utility customers regarding the effects of distributed energy resources on distribution systems.
• Offer solutions for the management and planning of increased distributed energy resources.
• Collaborate with Solution Architects to develop solution architecture based on customer requirements and capabilities.
• Establish success criteria and create solution diagrams.
• Implement Opus One solutions within client environments for project applications and DER planning scenarios.
• Define project goals, objectives, requirements, and technical functionalities.
• Design, diagram, and document solutions tailored to customer requirements and use cases.
• Conduct client workshops to address both functional and non-functional requirements.
• Document specific customer solution requirements, acceptance criteria, and essential features.
• Define processes for user acceptance testing, including test cases and progress metrics.
• Standardize internal and external processes, expectations, and deliverables across projects in collaboration with Project Managers.
• Develop business cases and product requirements based on customer procedures and policies.
• Enhance the solution consulting and delivery practice alongside the Solutions team.
• Create user acceptance documentation and training materials utilizing internal software demonstrations.
• Provide training to utility customers and end users on GridOS.
• Identify risks associated with project delivery and recommend strategies for mitigation.
• Assist sales initiatives with technical demonstrations and identification of potential upselling opportunities.
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field, with a focus on power systems, or equivalent experience.
• Experience in automating processes and utilizing or developing scripting solutions.
• Understanding of emerging energy trends and their implications for utilities in DER management, distribution planning, IT, SCADA, and asset management.
• Strong proficiency in Excel analysis, PowerPoint, and Visio.
• Proven ability to meet project deadlines while maintaining a strong focus on quality.
• Strong collaboration skills.
• Capable of analyzing approaches and processes, and configuring solutions to meet customer needs.
• Proficient in analyzing complex problems and determining appropriate specifics.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to articulate complex technical subjects to diverse audiences.
• A curious mindset with a commitment to lifelong learning.
• Customer-centric approach with the ability to craft detailed user stories.
• Enthusiasm for new tools and technologies and a quick aptitude for learning software.
• Preferred: Experience with VBA or Python scripting.
• Preferred: Master's degree.
• Preferred: Familiarity with cloud-based solutions and their deployment.
• Preferred: Experience in utility integration such as SCADA, ADMS, OT, or OMS.
• Preferred: Familiarity with power system analysis software including OpenDSS, CYME, PowerFactory, or Synergi.
• Eligibility for a bonus: 10% AIP.
