Junior Software Engineer, Accounting Experience

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Latin America.

📋 Description

• Assist in the design, development, and implementation of software solutions.

• Write code and document its functionality.

• Create high-quality, innovative, and fully functional software that adheres to coding standards and technical design.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance and maintain software solutions for financial processes.

• Engage in the software development lifecycle.

• Utilize accounting expertise to identify gaps and enhance automation and reconciliation workflows.

• Assess and implement software tools, processes, and metrics.

• Offer support and consultancy on the usage of software systems.

• Ensure adherence to project plans and industry standards.

⛳️ Requirements

• Previous experience as an accountant or financial analyst.

• Strong understanding of financial operations including reconciliation, reporting, and compliance.

• Proficient in at least one programming language, such as Python, Java, or Go.

• Familiarity with database systems like MySQL or PostgreSQL.

• Experience in backend API development.

• Knowledge of relational database storage and retrieval.

• Familiarity with software engineering tools, software development methodologies, and release processes.

• Proven experience working with Claude or similar large language model tools is essential.

• Comfortable utilizing AI to boost productivity, research, and communication.

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Computer Science, or a related field.
