Junior Software Developer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Design, develop, enhance, debug, and implement software within an Agile development setting, ensuring that the code is reusable, testable, and efficient.

• Investigate and resolve intricate issues or challenges related to software applications, responding effectively to suggestions for improvements and enhancements.

• Tackle issues identified with system integration and capabilities encountered during the testing and implementation of developed software to meet customer objectives.

• Understand, learn, and apply emerging automated build, testing, and deployment capabilities, actively assisting project teams in integrating these solutions.

• Mentor, guide, and provide technical oversight to team members who possess less experience.

• Collaborate with project teams and end users to determine software requirements and aid in the evaluation and recommendation of application software packages, integration tools, and testing suites.

• Make informed technical decisions and create solutions for daily tasks based on prior engineering experience.

• Engage in the creation of comprehensive software documentation, which includes training materials and user manuals.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 2 years of experience in Java and Python agile software development, including relevant tools and frameworks.

• A Bachelor’s degree or higher from an accredited institution in computer science, computer engineering, or a closely related field is preferred; or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.

• Proficiency in Agile scrum, Spring, a capability to lead and work effectively within a team, along with excellent oral and written communication skills.

• Experience with Docker and cloud technologies, such as Amazon Web Services (AWS), is advantageous.

• A proactive approach to learning emerging DevSecOps practices and cloud-based systems.
