Junior Security Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Poland, +2 more countries.

📋 Description

• Manage and address security alerts and incidents in accordance with established company protocols and industry best practices.

• Evaluate the security posture of IT infrastructure and cloud environments to pinpoint potential vulnerabilities.

• Contribute to application security through evaluations, vulnerability assessments, and gap analyses.

• Conduct vulnerability scans across designated network ranges and analyze the findings to uncover potential issues.

• Streamline routine security tasks through automation and leverage AI-driven tools to enhance efficiency.

• Assist in security audits to evaluate adherence to internal policies and industry best practices.

• Aid in the automation of access reviews to enhance both efficiency and accuracy.

⛳️ Requirements

• 1-2 years of experience in security engineering.

• Experience managing alerts from security solutions such as WAF, EDR, DLP, IPS/IDS, and SIEM.

• Practical experience with vulnerability analysis tools.

• Working knowledge of Python for scripting and automation tasks.

• Familiarity with at least one major cloud platform, along with its security tools, IAM, and best practices.

• Strong analytical abilities and a problem-solving orientation aimed at identifying the root causes of security events.

• Excellent communication skills, capable of articulating security concepts to technical teams.

• Intermediate+ proficiency in English.

• Experience in penetration testing or involvement in Capture The Flag (CTF) competitions.

• Understanding of application security frameworks and best practices, including ISO 27001.
