This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New York.
• Participate in all facets of retail design, encompassing furniture design, interiors, point of sale materials, and display design.
• Collaborate closely with the Senior Creative Director and clients to understand the design brief and generate design concepts in both 2D and 3D formats.
• Conduct research on innovations and solutions.
• Create 2D sketches and utilize computer-aided design to produce precise technical drawings and 3D models.
• Present conceptual designs to both internal teams and external clients, including cost estimates and budget proposals.
• Assist clients in comprehending the final design solution and its advantages.
• Take into account the requirements related to construction, installation, and fit-out, while being mindful of material properties.
• Oversee the development of prototypes in collaboration with vendors.
• Ensure that all designs and construction work adhere to building codes and health and safety regulations.
• Coordinate with external contractors and shop-fitters to ensure a seamless installation and delivery of the final product.
• Manage the logistics of the installation process.
• Compile progress reports and handle overall project management until job completion.
• Administer budgets effectively.
• Perform any additional work-related tasks as required.
• Bachelor's degree in Retail or Architectural Design.
• At least 5 years of experience in the architectural field.
• Proficient in Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, AutoCAD, and Rhino (CS6 or higher).
• Experience working with various cross-functional managers and projects is essential.
• Strong understanding of branding and brand stewardship.
• Capability to work independently or follow directions as necessary.
