This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Execute administrative tasks to support a department or customer.
• Conduct research, analysis, development, and evaluation of systems, procedures, and data within a designated functional area.
• Investigate policy and coverage areas to identify potential risks and opportunities in federal programs.
• Collaborate with the team to evaluate risks, formulate mitigation strategies, and document and present findings to clients.
• Distill complex policy and regulatory guidance into concise written and verbal recommendations for senior leadership.
• Operate remotely with a team of professionals dispersed across the United States.
• Partner with GDIT professionals to deliver client-focused work.
• Work together with colleagues to research and propose solutions to existing business challenges.
• Engage in a mentoring circle, interact with GDIT leaders, and participate in professional development activities.
• 0+ years of relevant experience.
• Candidates should be pursuing a degree in International Affairs or Public Policy at the Bachelor's, Master's, or PhD level.
• Proficient in computer skills, including Microsoft Office, Word, and Excel.
• Demonstrated interest in public policy and global relations.
• Capability and enthusiasm for synthesizing information and data.
• Basic understanding of principles, methods, and techniques used in scientific functional areas.
• Familiarity with equipment and systems utilized in scientific functional areas.
• Sponsorship is not available for this position.
• Applicants should have at least one semester remaining in their studies after the internship ends.
• US Citizenship Required: No.
• Paid, full-time internship at 40 hours/week for 10 consecutive weeks.
