Junior Quantitative Trader

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Provide support for live trading operations by conducting quantitative analysis, offering execution assistance, and monitoring risk.

• Execute data analysis using Python to inform trading decisions, evaluate strategies, and conduct post-trade reviews.

• Aid traders with order execution, trade reconciliation, and real-time oversight of positions and associated risks.

• Utilize SQL to query and maintain internal databases for generating reports, identifying anomalies, and enhancing desk workflows.

• Implement statistical and probability principles to assess market behavior, execution quality, and profit and loss attribution.

• Acquire a practical understanding of market microstructure and exchange mechanics across the various asset classes handled by the desk.

• Communicate insights and highlight concerns to traders and risk personnel promptly, clearly, and succinctly.

• Ensure high levels of accuracy and attention to detail in desk operations, from data management to trade capture.

⛳️ Requirements

• 1–3 years of experience in a quantitative, analytical, or market-facing position.

• Preferred candidates will have direct trading desk experience (e.g., Execution Assistant, Assistant Trader, Quant Analyst, or Risk Analyst); outstanding candidates directly from prestigious undergraduate or master’s programs with relevant internship experience will also be considered.

• Proficiency in Python for data analysis.

• Strong background in statistics and probability.

• Basic knowledge of market microstructure and market mechanics.

• Fundamental database querying capabilities (SQL).

• Exceptional attention to detail.

• Intellectual honesty and openness.

• Structured curiosity.

• Effective and concise communication skills.

• Preferred knowledge of microstructure in a specific asset class.

• Advanced experience in C++ and low-latency architecture is a plus.
