Junior Project Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Oversee and manage delivery operations for one or more federal task orders, ensuring that projects adhere to timelines, stay within scope, and meet customer expectations.

• Act as the main contact for assigned deliverables, coordinating activities among internal teams, stakeholders, and federal clients.

• Assist in strategic business process enhancement initiatives by recognizing opportunities to improve operational efficiency, compliance, and delivery effectiveness.

• Contribute to the creation and upkeep of project schedules, cost structures, status reports, and documentation for both current and upcoming federal programs.

• Work closely with the Deliverables Manager, Program Leads, and cross-functional teams to establish project scope, timelines, resource needs, and expectations for deliverables.

• Create and maintain ad hoc reports, dashboards, and tracking documentation to aid internal evaluations and ensure compliance with federal regulations.

• Track project risks, proactively identify potential issues, and implement strategies to mitigate risks to ensure successful program execution.

• Foster effective communication among stakeholders, leadership, and project teams to maintain transparency, accountability, and alignment throughout the project lifecycle.

• Promote continuous improvement efforts and assist in the formulation of best practices within program management operations.


⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor’s degree is required; a degree in Business, Project Management, Public Administration, or a related discipline is preferred.

• At least 2+ years of experience in project management, program management, or support for business operations is necessary.

• Familiarity with project and program management principles, methodologies, and industry best practices.

• Experience in supporting federal government contracts, task orders, or compliance-oriented environments is preferred.

• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities with the capability to manage multiple priorities at once.

• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with proven experience interacting with customers and cross-functional teams.

• Capability to work independently while effectively collaborating in a team-oriented setting.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, project tracking tools, and reporting platforms.

• PMP, CAPM, Scrum Master, or other project management certifications are advantageous.

• Experience with federal compliance reporting and management of contract deliverables.

• Knowledge of Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid project management methodologies.
