This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Take ownership of the complete product lifecycle for merchant capital user experience, partner-facing APIs, and the underlying servicing and money movement processes.
• Create and uphold a prioritized roadmap linked to specific outcomes related to conversion, adoption, money movement, and margins.
• Collaborate directly with engineering on the design of APIs and infrastructure, including webhook patterns, idempotency, reconciliation, failure management, partner sandbox experience, and the practicalities of engaging with payment providers. You should have well-formed opinions in this area, rather than simply conveying them.
• Conduct user and partner research: engage with merchants, work alongside partner engineering teams, and observe actual usage.
• Draft specifications that are detailed enough for engineering to build from and for product reviews to rigorously evaluate. Define, monitor, and analyze metrics independently; utilize SQL when necessary.
• Foster cross-functional alignment among Engineering, Design, Risk, Legal, Marketing, Capital Markets, and Partner Success.
• 2-4 years of experience in product management, preferably in fintech, embedded finance, or developer-centric platforms. Candidates with relevant backgrounds in engineering, credit, or partnerships who have transitioned into product management are also encouraged to apply.
• Ability to critically assess API documentation and experience in shipping products where the API was central to the product offering.
• Familiarity with money movement is a significant advantage; experience with ACH, card rails, split payouts, reconciliation, or direct interactions with providers is beneficial.
• Proficiency in SQL. You can retrieve your own data without relying on a dashboard.
• Comfortable utilizing AI tools (such as Cursor, Claude, or similar) to prototype, draft, and resolve issues independently rather than depending on others' availability.
• A strong interest in credit, including underwriting, repayment mechanics, and loss dynamics. You don’t need to be an expert in risk, but you should aspire to gain fluency in the subject.
• Exceptional written communication skills. Many of our decisions are made asynchronously, and the clarity of your writing will influence the quality of those decisions.
• Proven track record of delivering products that positively impacted real metrics, not just those that were simply launched.
• Access to top-tier equipment to facilitate your work.
• Flexible vacation and work hours - we prioritize a healthy work-life balance (and we mean it!).
• Comprehensive health, dental, and vision insurance.
• Generous parental leave for anyone expanding their family, regardless of gender.
• Wonderful colleagues - we cherish a culture that values authenticity, humility, and excellence.
