Junior Plumbing Estimator

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Mexico.

📋 Description

• Create precise plumbing estimates and quantity takeoffs for commercial and industrial construction projects.

• Examine architectural, plumbing, and mechanical drawings, specifications, and bidding documents.

• Develop comprehensive bid packages and collaborate with subcontractors and suppliers for pricing.

• Prepare and oversee change orders, estimate revisions, and responses to RFIs.

• Evaluate project scope and identify any discrepancies or missing information that requires clarification.

• Coordinate estimates for mixed-use developments, including residential, hospitality, retail, warehouse, and industrial spaces.

• Ensure that estimates align with project specifications, plumbing codes, ADA standards, and client requirements.

• Provide assistance with project submittals and estimating documentation as necessary.

• Work together with the senior estimator and owner on intricate bids and pricing strategies.

• Oversee multiple estimates concurrently while adhering to strict bidding deadlines.

⛳️ Requirements

• At least 3 years of experience in commercial plumbing estimating.

• Familiarity with plumbing codes from New Jersey, New York, or the Northeast U.S.

• A degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent plumbing trade qualification is preferred.

• Experience in estimating commercial, industrial, or multi-family construction projects.

• Strong knowledge of plumbing systems, materials, and construction methods.

• Proficient in reading and interpreting construction drawings and specifications.

• Ability to operate independently with minimal supervision.

• Exceptional organizational skills and a keen attention to detail.

• Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.

• Availability to work full-time during U.S. Eastern Time business hours.

• Required Software & Technical Skills: PlanSwift (preferred), Procore, Microsoft Excel, PDF markup, and tools for reviewing construction drawings; experience with digital takeoff and estimating software.
