Junior Mobile Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Mexico.

📋 Description

• Take ownership and contribute to the development of new features in our cross-platform TypeScript React Native application and Golang backend APIs.

• Oversee our release processes, utilizing tools such as cohorting, feature flags, and app-store infrastructure to ensure a smooth rollout to our millions of active users.

• Foster a strong collaborative relationship with product, design, and business teams to ensure that stakeholder needs are assessed and addressed.

• Collaborate with the team to consistently produce clean, scalable, robust, and testable code.

• Acquire a thorough understanding of your application, its data domain, and key performance indicators (KPIs).

⛳️ Requirements

• 1 to 3 years of professional experience in mobile development, with a minimum of 6+ months working with React Native or similar technologies such as Flutter.

• Proven experience in developing and launching mobile applications on both Apple and Google’s app stores.

• Strong understanding of modern Frontend Development, JavaScript or TypeScript, and experience in building applications using React Native or similar cross-platform frameworks.

• In-depth knowledge of React Native architecture, including hooks, context, navigation patterns, and performance optimization techniques.

• Familiarity with relational databases such as MySQL.

• Solid experience with unit testing, integration testing, and end-to-end testing tools (e.g., Jest, React Native Testing Library, Detox, Appium, etc.).

• Proven ability to lead features through all stages — from requirements gathering and design to implementation, deployment, monitoring, and continuous improvement.

• Skilled in conducting high-quality code reviews with an emphasis on maintainability, clarity, and adherence to best practices.

• Capable of driving technical decisions, suggesting enhancements, and improving code quality across the team.

• Collaborates effectively with product managers, designers, backend developers, and QA teams.

• Demonstrated experience with Claude or similar large language model tools is essential; candidates must be adept at using AI to boost productivity, research, and communication.

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field.
