Junior Linux SysAdmin

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Mexico.

📋 Description

• Assist in the implementation, upkeep, and monitoring of Linux systems and infrastructure.

• Support system updates, patches, and fundamental security tasks.

• Aid in troubleshooting system, network, and performance-related challenges.

• Contribute to automation efforts using scripting and configuration tools.

• Work collaboratively with development and operations teams to ensure system reliability.

⛳️ Requirements

• 1–2 years of experience in Linux administration or similar roles.

• Basic to intermediate understanding of Linux administration.

• Knowledge of networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, routing, firewalls).

• Basic comprehension of IT security and system hardening principles.

• Familiarity with services such as DNS, LDAP, or web proxies is advantageous.

• Experience or familiarity with scripting languages (Shell, Python, etc.).

• Knowledge of automation tools (Ansible, Chef) is a plus.

• Exposure to cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, or GCP) is preferable.

• A strong eagerness to learn, problem-solving skills, and ability to work in a team.

• Intermediate proficiency in English.
