Junior Infrastructure and Security Analyst

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.

📋 Description

• Continuously assess vulnerabilities across servers, systems, containers, and dependencies; assist in prioritizing by severity and monitor remediation efforts.

• Execute updates, patching, and configuration modifications during designated maintenance windows.

• Oversee the renewal and installation of TLS certificates.

• Facilitate simulated phishing campaigns, evaluate outcomes, and contribute to security awareness programs.

• Assist in granting, reviewing, and revoking access and permissions in line with the least privilege principle.

• Aid in the secure management of passwords, keys, and secrets.

• Record and track security events until resolution.

• Support root-cause analysis, containment, and incident response efforts.

• Maintain technical documentation, procedures, and security checklists in an up-to-date manner.

⛳️ Requirements

• Currently enrolled in or have completed a degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Networking, Information Security, or a related discipline (technical training is appreciated).

• Fundamental networking knowledge: IP, ports, DNS, HTTP/HTTPS.

• Basic comprehension of information security principles, including cryptography, authentication, and access control.

• Introductory knowledge of Linux, encompassing command line, permissions, services, and logs.

• Experience with a cloud service provider (AWS / Azure / GCP), gained through coursework or personal projects.

• Basic familiarity with Docker, Git, and scripting languages (Bash or Python).

• Introductory knowledge of relational databases, preferably PostgreSQL.

• Entry-level cloud or security certifications (such as AWS Cloud Practitioner, AZ-900, ISC2 CC), or currently studying for one.

• Prior experience in technical support or help desk roles.

• Demonstrated responsibility and ethical behavior when managing access credentials and sensitive information.

• Strong organizational skills and discipline in adhering to routines and procedures.
