Junior Front-End Developer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Alaska, +9 more states.

📋 Description

• Design and sustain responsive web applications utilizing Angular and associated frontend technologies.

• Produce clean, maintainable, and well-documented code adhering to established standards.

• Execute user interface designs and product requirements under the guidance of senior developers.

• Diagnose frontend bugs and user interface issues across various browsers and devices.

• Implement frontend best practices, coding standards, and principles of accessibility.

• Engage in code reviews and integrate feedback effectively.

• Develop and test WalkMe content to enhance product usability and adoption.

• Collaborate with Front-End Developers, Product Managers, UX/UI Designers, QA Engineers, and interdisciplinary teams.

• Participate in Agile ceremonies such as sprint planning, daily stand-ups, retrospectives, and backlog refinement.

• Communicate updates on project progress, inquiries, and obstacles.

• Assist with testing, deployment, and release activities.

• Create and maintain unit tests for frontend components.

• Validate functionality, identify defects, and rectify frontend issues.

• Aid in the investigation and resolution of production issues.

• Enhance knowledge of Angular, frontend architecture, and contemporary web development practices.

• Contribute to workflow, code quality, and user experience enhancements.

⛳️ Requirements

• Fundamental proficiency in JavaScript, TypeScript, HTML5, and CSS3.

• Familiarity with Angular or another modern frontend framework, such as React or Vue.

• Understanding of responsive web design and best practices for accessibility.

• Experience with Git or other version control systems.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

• Capability to troubleshoot technical issues and quickly learn new technologies.

• Keen attention to detail and a commitment to quality.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

• Ability to collaborate within cross-functional Agile teams.

• Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities.

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.

• Up to two years of frontend development experience gained through internships, co-ops, academic projects, bootcamps, personal projects, or professional experience.

• Working knowledge of JavaScript, TypeScript, HTML5, and CSS3.

• Familiarity with REST APIs, component-based architecture, and Agile development methodologies is preferred.

• A portfolio, GitHub repository, or other examples of frontend development work is preferred.

• Candidates must reside in Pennsylvania, New Jersey, New Hampshire, Delaware, Colorado, South Dakota, Texas, Wyoming, Alaska, or Florida to be eligible for W2 employment.
