Junior Financial Controller

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Asia.

📋 Description

• Take ownership of the complete P&L at a portfolio level. You will serve as the primary resource for all financial inquiries related to your designated brands, covering everything from revenue to EBITDA.

• Spearhead the monthly controlling cycle, ensuring financial outputs are accurate, timely, and clear.

• Create and present monthly and quarterly internal reports, which include budget-to-actual variance analysis and commentary for brand management and leadership.

• Assist in the preparation of annual budget planning, rolling forecasts, and reforecasts in partnership with cost and profit center managers.

• Aid in the month-end closing process in collaboration with the accounting team to guarantee reporting accuracy.

• Utilize AI tools and automation to enhance the efficiency of recurring tasks: closing comments, data validation, variance analysis, and ad-hoc reporting.

• Contribute to the ongoing development and maintenance of our FP&A and reporting tools (Abacum, NetSuite).

• Execute ad hoc analyses, financial modeling, and provide other financial support to the management team.

⛳️ Requirements

• A degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Economics, or a related field.

• 2-3 years of experience in finance, controlling, or FP&A.

• A solid grasp of P&L structures and month-end closing procedures.

• Highly meticulous with a strong focus on detail, ensuring accuracy in financial data reporting.

• Proficient in Excel and Google Sheets (financial modeling and analysis).

• Independent, structured, solution-oriented, and analytical in your approach to work.

• Excellent time management skills with a strong ability to remain organized and meet financial deadlines.

• A confident communicator who can address financial queries from non-financial stakeholders.

• Comfortable utilizing AI tools to enhance and automate workflows.

• Strong English communication skills.

• Nice to have: Experience in the SaaS industry, multi-entity and multi-currency experience, familiarity with Abacum, NetSuite, or similar FP&A forecasting tools, exposure to automation tools or scripting, and progress toward ACCA / ACA / CIMA.
