This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Belgium.
• Assist the Finance Business Partner and Financial Planning Manager in conducting variance analysis, ongoing forecasting, and the annual financial planning procedure.
• Develop and facilitate regular training sessions for budget holders to ensure they comprehend their responsibilities within financial processes.
• Provide support to budget holders across the network, equipping them to make informed financial decisions and create impact in their respective areas.
• Aid in the review of grant budgets and financial reports submitted by our grantees.
• Assist the finance team with the month-end closing process, specifically concerning funding source allocations.
• Collaborate with team members to conduct financial due diligence for both new and existing grantees, consultants, and service providers.
• Perform additional tasks and responsibilities as determined in consultation with the line manager.
• Proven experience as part of a finance team, preferably within the non-profit sector, with responsibilities in Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A).
• Background in drafting and/or reviewing management reports.
• Proficient in Microsoft and Google suites, particularly Excel and Google Sheets.
• Familiarity with NetSuite, Pigment, and/or SmartSimple is a plus.
• Experience with financial planning software is beneficial.
• A logical and structured approach to problem-solving.
• Capability to identify issues and investigate or escalate them in a timely and professional manner.
• A collaborative disposition, working generously with colleagues in a trusted global community.
