Junior Data Engineer – Persons with Disabilities

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.

📋 Description

• Design, implement, and maintain data ingestion, transformation, and delivery pipelines.

• Develop and improve notebooks utilizing Python and SQL within Databricks.

• Assist in crafting solutions rooted in Lakehouse architecture (Bronze, Silver, and Gold levels).

• Oversee and resolve issues in data loading operations.

• Ensure the quality, reliability, and traceability of data.

• Aid in data governance and cataloging efforts using Unity Catalog.

• Contribute to the documentation of technical processes, tables, and pipelines.

• Work collaboratively with Data Architects, Data Engineers, Data Scientists, and business teams.

• Help optimize the performance and cost-efficiency of the data platform.

⛳️ Requirements

• Ongoing or completed degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Production Engineering, Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or related Technology and Analytics fields.

• Proficiency in SQL at an intermediate level.

• Familiarity with Python programming.

• Understanding of ETL/ELT processes.

• Basic knowledge of data modeling.

• Experience with relational databases.

• Knowledge or academic/professional experience with Databricks.

• Awareness of cloud computing platforms (Azure, AWS, or GCP).

• Nice to have: familiarity with Apache Spark.

• Nice to have: knowledge of Delta Lake.

• Nice to have: experience with Azure Data Factory.

• Nice to have: understanding of Unity Catalog.

• Nice to have: knowledge of Azure DevOps and CI/CD practices.

• Nice to have: experience with Power BI or other data visualization tools.

• Nice to have: certifications in Databricks or Microsoft Azure.

• Nice to have: involvement in academic projects, undergraduate research, or internships in the data sector.
