• Evaluate extensive and intricate datasets to pinpoint trends, patterns, risks, and opportunities.
• Convert data into clear, actionable insights for operational teams and senior stakeholders.
• Generate regular and on-demand analyses to bolster business performance, strategy, and planning.
• Provide benchmarking against sectors and competitors.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to guarantee precise data capture, monitoring, validation, and reporting, while sourcing up-to-date market intelligence.
• Ensure that reports are accurate, timely, and adhere to agreed definitions and KPIs.
• Enhance reporting efficiency through automation and refined data models.
• Comprehend reporting and analytical requirements alongside stakeholders.
• Clearly present findings to non-technical audiences utilizing visualizations and summaries.
• Aid decision-making by elucidating insights, assumptions, and data limitations.
• Oversee data quality and identify issues, inconsistencies, or gaps.
• Enhance data capture and integrity in collaboration with data owners and system teams.
• Comply with data governance, privacy, and security standards.
• Refine analytical processes, reporting methods, and data flows.
• Contribute to standardized metrics, definitions, and best practices.
• Support broader analytics and transformation initiatives.
• Demonstrated experience in a Data Analyst or MI Analyst position.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with a keen eye for detail.
• Advanced skills in Excel, including pivot tables, formulas, and data modeling.
• Proficiency in BI tools such as Qlik, Power BI, or similar platforms.
• Capacity to convey complex data clearly to non-technical stakeholders.
• Experience with SQL and/or Python for data analysis and automation is a plus.
• Familiarity with data governance, data quality, and controls is advantageous.
• Background in a regulated or professional services environment is preferred.
• Exposure to forecasting, trend analysis, or performance management is beneficial.
• Understanding of the legal sector or insurance industry context is desirable.
• A degree in a numerate or analytical discipline is preferred, or equivalent experience.
• Relevant professional or technical training such as Power BI, SQL, or data analytics certifications is advantageous.
• A curious and proactive mindset.
