Junior Controller – Part Time

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Finland.

📋 Description

• Implement and maintain accurate, compliant control environments in accordance with local accounting standards and reporting obligations.

• Prepare statutory financial statements along with in-country compliance requirements, including VAT compilations, government IDs, and necessary filings.

• Collaborate with business owners to clarify processes and adhere to deadlines.

• Work with the SSG India team to develop audit schedules for local statutory audits.

• Offer ad hoc financial analysis support to both Finance and the business.

• Assist in the transition of Treasury and P2P accounting processes in conjunction with the SSG team in India.

• Carry out miscellaneous administrative tasks related to compliance issues.

• Plan and implement statutory and compliance activities to ensure timely reporting.

• Clearly and logically document technical accounting decisions.

⛳️ Requirements

• Experienced accountant with a solid understanding of Treasury, banking, and P2P processes in Finland.

• Proficient in both Finnish and English, with strong verbal and written communication skills.

• Eagerness to go beyond routine tasks to identify challenges and seize opportunities.

• Familiarity with NetSuite is preferred but not mandatory.

• Background checks are necessary for employment where permitted by country, state, or province.

• Must be able to reside in Finland; preferably in Helsinki.

• Availability for part-time work is required.
