This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.
• Assist in executing activities related to the Global Alliance for Literacy, the UIL Learning Hub, and related projects.
• Aid in the promotion and distribution of the Digital Competency for Literacy Educators courses via GAL networks and partner organizations.
• Contribute to communication and outreach efforts aimed at enhancing course participation and visibility.
• Prepare the final narrative report for the Huawei-supported Digital Competency for Literacy Educators project (2023–2026).
• Support consultations and stakeholder engagement initiatives concerning the creation of the new GAL Action Plan (2026–2029).
• Help in drafting concept notes, agendas, background documents, and communication materials for GAL meetings and consultations.
• Assist in the planning, coordination, and execution of the GAL Annual Meeting and related events surrounding International Literacy Day.
• Collaborate with UIL, NIOS, and relevant partners to facilitate the adaptation and incorporation of course materials into the UIL Learning Hub.
• Support the upload, review, quality assurance, and finalization of course versions in English and Hindi.
• Coordinate review processes with NIOS and the UNESCO New Delhi Office, following up on received feedback.
• Aid in preparations for the pilot implementation and record lessons learned.
• Contribute to the preparations for the national launch event in India.
• Assist in monitoring Learning Hub activities, including learner enrollment, course participation, completion rates, and platform engagement.
• Help track technical updates and identify user support needs.
• Collaborate with partner organizations involved in Learning Hub initiatives, including DVV International and consultants supporting the DELTA Framework.
• Participate in the promotion and facilitation of online communities of practice hosted on the platform.
• Support communication, outreach, and user engagement activities related to Learning Hub courses and resources.
• Advanced university degree in education, lifelong learning, adult education, international development, social sciences, or a related field.
• Minimum of two years of relevant professional experience in project coordination, program implementation, literacy, lifelong learning, education, or international development.
• Proven experience in organizing meetings, events, consultations, or capacity-building activities.
• Experience with online learning platforms, digital learning initiatives, or communities of practice is preferred.
• Exceptional drafting, reporting, and communication skills in English, particularly in preparing donor reports.
• Strong organizational, coordination, and interpersonal abilities.
• Capability to work independently and manage multiple tasks within tight deadlines.
• Experience with UNESCO, United Nations agencies, or international organizations is a plus.
• Proficiency in English and Spanish languages.
