Junior Commissioning Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Arizona, +3 more states.

📋 Description

• Assisting with on-site commissioning tasks under the guidance of senior engineers

• Aiding in field inspections of mechanical, electrical, control, and monitoring systems

• Recording test results and maintaining comprehensive commissioning documentation

• Engaging in commissioning meetings and taking detailed meeting notes

• Assisting in the preparation of commissioning deliverables, including checklists and test procedures

• Acquiring knowledge and applying commissioning standards (ASHRAE, CSA)

• Performing basic testing and verification activities under supervision

• Contributing to the creation and upkeep of project documentation

• Assisting in issue tracking and resolution processes

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or a related technical discipline

• 1-3 years of experience in testing, start-up, or operation of large-scale mechanical or electrical systems; experience in Data Centers is preferred

• Fundamental understanding of HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

• Strong attention to detail along with excellent organizational skills

• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills

• Eagerness to learn and apply technical principles

• Capability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team

• Willingness to travel overnight up to 75%; travel periods away from home typically do not exceed two weeks
