Junior Backend Developer, Python

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Poland.

📋 Description

• Develop clean, maintainable, and well-organized Python code, utilizing AI coding assistants while taking ownership of the final product.

• Provide technical contributions to the product and identify opportunities for enhancements.

• Create documentation for the code delivered.

• Conduct peer code reviews.

• Leverage and enhance the company's knowledge base.

• Collaborate with the team to translate complex business requirements, user stories, and tasks into effective solutions, outcomes, and estimations.

• Engage in continuous learning and embrace challenges.

• Work with both well-established firms and early-stage startups on a variety of client projects.

• Partner with US clients in sectors such as FinTech, SportsTech, MedTech, and other industries.

⛳️ Requirements

• Minimum of 6 months of professional experience with Python.

• Proficient understanding of Python 3.10+ fundamentals, including type hints, object-oriented programming principles, common data structures, and the creation of clean, readable, and maintainable code.

• Basic experience with Django, encompassing models, views, ORM, and migrations; participated in at least one Django project.

• Familiarity with building and consuming RESTful APIs.

• Knowledge of object-oriented programming, best practices, data structures, SOLID principles, DRY methodology, and design patterns.

• Capability to utilize AI coding tools, preferably Claude Code, while independently writing code and understanding its ramifications.

• Experience with SQL databases such as PostgreSQL or MySQL; ability to write basic SQL queries and integrate them with Django ORM.

• Proficient in using Git.

• English language proficiency at B2 level.

• Polish language proficiency at C1 level.

• Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies is a plus.

• Experience with Django REST Framework, FastAPI, or Flask is advantageous.

• Familiarity with Django Admin is a plus.

• Experience with automated testing frameworks such as pytest is desirable.

• Experience with Celery, Redis, payment or billing providers, email platforms, AWS, serverless architectures, or Docker is a plus.
