Junior Back-End Developer, Python

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Philippines.

📋 Description

• The Junior Python Developer will be tasked with supporting the development, testing, and upkeep of backend applications.

• Create and maintain Python scripts aimed at automating repetitive tasks and enhancing efficiency.

• Detect, analyze, and rectify software defects and bugs in Python backend applications.

• Innovate and implement new features and functionalities with meticulous attention to detail.

• Facilitate efficient database interactions within Python applications.

• Compose and optimize SQL queries for data retrieval and manipulation.

• Develop unit tests and integration tests to uphold code quality and reliability.

• Skillfully utilize Git for version control, including branching, merging, and conflict resolution.

• Produce and maintain clear and concise technical documentation.

• Efficiently manage time and prioritize tasks based on urgency.

• Collaborate closely with team members to troubleshoot issues and explore solutions.

• Exhibit a readiness to learn swiftly and adapt based on received feedback.

• Apply critical thinking to identify root causes and implement effective solutions.

• Continuously enhance knowledge of products, services, and processes by engaging in training programs and continuous learning modules.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field.

• 6 months to 2 years of experience in Python software development or a comparable field.

• Solid understanding of software development principles and methodologies.

• Basic knowledge of SQL and database management is advantageous.

• Familiarity with cloud services or Google Cloud Platform is a plus.

• Comfortable using both Mac and Windows operating systems.

• Capable of analyzing and solving basic coding issues.

• Quick to learn and apply new technologies and concepts.

• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

• Ability to work autonomously as well as collaboratively within a team.
