Junior Accounting Associate

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Turkey.

📋 Description

• Assisting in the client onboarding process for all designated client engagements, adhering to established procedures.

• Aiding in and executing relevant processes related to accounts payable and receivable management, bookkeeping entries, monthly closing tasks, and the preparation of financial reports and analyses; this may also encompass payroll and special projects as assigned.

• Exhibiting a strong grasp of professional accounting and bookkeeping practices, which includes preparing depreciation schedules, sales journals, and sales tax returns, in addition to reviewing and reconciling payroll records and employment tax returns.

• Facilitating regular and thorough audits to ensure the accuracy of financial documents, expenditures, and investments.

• Assisting in revenue forecasting and profit margin analysis.

• Aiding in general ledger reconciliation and managing accounts payable and receivable.

• Helping in the preparation and submission of corporate and individual income tax returns (e.g., annual 1099s, corporate and individual tax filings).

• Assisting with the assessment and research of complex tax issues to identify suitable solutions.

• Supporting research projects and the preparation of financial reports as required.

⛳️ Requirements

• Possess a bachelor’s degree in relevant fields such as accounting, finance, economics, or business (a Master’s degree is an advantage!).

• **This is an entry-level position**. Candidates with up to 2 years of experience are preferred.

• Keen to expand knowledge of US Accounting Systems.

• Outstanding written and verbal communication skills in Business English - **All interviews will be conducted in English!**

• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel.

• Possess a quantitative and analytical mindset with the capability to assist in complex data analysis and reporting activities.

• Highly committed and dedicated to pursuing a career in accounting and tax.

• Ability to thrive in ambiguous environments while prioritizing and managing multiple tasks in a fast-paced setting.

• Excellent collaboration skills and ability to work effectively in teams.

• Strong attention to detail and the ability to adhere to standard procedures is essential.

• Experience with Accounting Software Systems is highly advantageous!

• Knowledge or experience with USGAAP is a significant plus!
