Journey Operations Manager – Contract, Freelance, Adobe Journey Optimizer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California, +4 more states.

📋 Description

• Oversee daily campaign operations in Adobe Journey Optimizer (AJO): including setup, audience targeting, content associations, and scheduling deployments.

• Manage the intake process: including briefing, capacity planning, and prioritizing tasks with stakeholders.

• Facilitate quality assurance across active journey builds (logic, targeting, content rendering, compliance) prior to any deployment.

• Act as the operational liaison between GTX, technical build partners, and the client’s marketing team.

• Keep execution trackers, dashboards, and deployment calendars updated.

• Assist in transitioning legacy-platform campaigns into AJO.

• Identify risks, blockers, and capacity limitations early on.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 5 years in marketing operations, campaign management, marketing automation execution, or program coordination.

• Practical experience with an enterprise marketing automation platform. **AJO and AEP are preferred, but candidates with strong experience in Salesforce Marketing Cloud, Marketo, or Oracle Eloqua will also be considered; the right operator can quickly adapt to AJO.**

• Demonstrated discipline in QA and deployment within a high-volume environment.

• Proficiency with project management tools (Asana, JIRA, Teamwork, or similar) and experience managing multiple workstreams simultaneously.

• Excellent communication skills across technical, strategic, and client-facing teams.

• **Preferred Qualifications:**

• Experience with direct AJO campaign execution and journey management.

• Familiarity with AEP audiences, segments, and activation.

• Background in B2B marketing platform migration.

• Experience in MarTech consulting or agency delivery.
