Java DevOps Developer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.

📋 Description

• Oversee the complete lifecycle of our Java-based applications—from development and deployment to maintenance in production settings.

• Design, develop, and maintain CI/CD pipelines to automate the build, test, and release processes.

• Utilize Docker and Kubernetes for containerization and orchestration of Java applications.

• Guarantee scalable application delivery across cloud and on-premises infrastructures (e.g., AWS, GCP, Azure).

• Implement and oversee monitoring and logging solutions (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack) to assess system performance and application metrics.

• Conduct performance tuning of Java backend services to optimize resource utilization and minimize latency.

• Collaborate with development teams to enhance and expedite the transition of code into production-ready environments.

• Ensure deployment stability and security through automated testing, security assessments, and rollback strategies.

⛳️ Requirements

• Several years of experience as a Java developer with a robust understanding of building microservices and distributed systems.

• Familiarity with DevOps methodologies and experience in automating infrastructure and application deployments.

• Strong proficiency with build tools such as Maven or Gradle.

• Proficient in using CI/CD tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI, or Travis CI.

• Experience with containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.

• Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and experience with Infrastructure as Code tools like Terraform or Ansible.

• A strong emphasis on security and performance enhancement during the deployment process.

• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities to work effectively with developers, testers, and operations teams.
