Japanese VRI/OPI Interpreter

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Philippines.

📋 Description

• Professionally handle incoming calls, adhering to the Interpreter's code of conduct.

• Always be ready to take notes during calls.

• Possess a strong understanding of industry-specific vocabulary.

• Accurately convey all messages in their entirety, without adding, omitting, or altering content.

• Deliver exceptional customer service throughout the interpreting process.

• Facilitate effective communication between Limited English Proficient individuals and Clients by providing accurate and complete interpretations of messages.

• Implement established standards of practice.

• Participate in internal professional training sessions.

• Show enthusiasm for obtaining new professional certifications.

• Maintain open communication and provide reports to your team leader.

• Adhere to dress code standards for video remote interpreting.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proficient in the source language (English) and a native speaker of the target language "Japanese".

• At least 1 year of experience in telephone interpretation (preferred but not mandatory).

• Strong familiarity with medical terminology (preferred but not mandatory).

• Knowledge of legal terminology (preferred).

• Possession of international certifications in the healthcare sector (preferred).

• High school diploma in your native language.

• Demonstrate high emotional intelligence and cultural tolerance.

• Excellent communication, listening, note-taking, and memory retention skills.
