Japanese VRI/OPI Interpreter

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Egypt.

📋 Description

• Respond to calls in a professional manner, adhering to the Interpreter's code of conduct.

• Always be ready to take notes during calls.

• Familiarize yourself with the specific vocabulary related to healthcare and the medical field, with training provided.

• Accurately and completely convey all messages without adding, omitting, or altering content.

• Deliver the highest standard of customer service during interpretation sessions.

• Facilitate communication between clients with Limited English Proficiency and the service provider by providing precise and complete interpretations.

• Apply established standards of practice.

• Participate in internal professional training sessions.

• Show enthusiasm for obtaining new professional certifications.

• Communicate and report to your team leader regularly.

• Adhere to the dress code requirements for video remote interpreting.

⛳️ Requirements

• Fluent in the source language (English) and Native/Fluent in the target language "Japanese."

• Over 1 year of telephone interpretation experience in a recognized interpretation company is advantageous, though not required.

• A solid understanding of medical terminology is beneficial but not mandatory.

• Familiarity with legal terminology is a plus.

• International certifications in the healthcare sector are a plus (e.g., PICSI, ALTA, HIPAA, etc.).

• High school diploma in your native language.

• Strong emotional intelligence and an appreciation for diverse cultures.

• Excellent communication, listening, note-taking, and memory retention skills.
