Item Entry Technician

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Florida.

📋 Description

• Generate prescription orders in accordance with all pharmacy protocols and guidelines while accurately interpreting and entering prescription details into the prescription processing system.

• Execute standard pharmacy operations while adhering to established procedures.

• Uphold patient confidentiality as mandated by HIPAA regulations.

• Confirm patient identity using date of birth, address, and other identifying information prior to initiating orders.

• Ensure the accuracy and completeness of prescription details before processing.

• Complete and maintain patient profiles.

• Comply with and support all organizational policies and procedures.

• Perform a PD3Q quality check prior to finalizing and submitting orders.

• Undertake additional responsibilities as assigned.

⛳️ Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent.

• Registered Pharmacy Technician in the State of Florida for the Florida location.

• Minimum of one year of pharmacy experience.

• Capability to enter 30 prescriptions per hour (prescriptions received via mail, phone, or fax).

• Ability to enter 60 prescriptions per hour (prescriptions received electronically).

• Strong attention to detail.

• Capacity to manage multiple tasks or interruptions simultaneously.

• Effective, patient, and courteous communication skills.

• A focused team player who collaborates well with pharmacists, other departments, and management.

• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and achieve daily targets.

• Proficient in performing repetitive tasks accurately.

• Excellent communication skills utilizing Microsoft Teams for team coordination and Outlook for professional communications.
