Italian VRI/OPI Interpreter

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Egypt.

📋 Description

• Professionally respond to calls, adhering to the Interpreter's code of conduct.

• Always be prepared to take notes during calls.

• Familiarize yourself with the specific vocabulary relevant to the healthcare and medical industries—training will be provided.

• Accurately render all messages in full, without adding, omitting, or substituting any content.

• Deliver the highest standard of customer service during interpretation sessions.

• Facilitate communication between Limited English Proficient individuals and clients by providing precise and complete interpretations of messages.

• Adhere to established standards of practice.

• Participate in internal professional training.

• Show a willingness to obtain new professional certifications.

• Communicate and report to your team leader effectively.

• Follow dress code requirements for video remote interpreting.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proficient in the source language (English) and a native speaker of the target language "Italian."

• Over 1 year of experience in telephone interpretation with a recognized interpretation company is advantageous but not required.

• A good understanding of medical terminology is beneficial but not essential.

• Familiarity with legal terminology is a plus.

• Possession of international certifications in the healthcare field is advantageous (e.g., PICSI, ALTA, HIPAA, etc.).

• High school diploma in your native language is required.

• High emotional intelligence and an appreciation for diverse cultures.

• Excellent communication, listening, note-taking, and memory retention skills.
