This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Italy.
• Coordinating and overseeing the final quality of assigned translations to maintain high standards.
• Managing language assets such as translation memories, terminology, and style guides.
• Occasionally performing linguistic tasks including initial translations and revisions.
• Conducting quality assessments on clinical translations (ICFs, protocols, IBs, patient diaries, etc.).
• Developing and sustaining terminology for the Italian language.
• Ensuring that Italian translation memories are consistently updated.
• Establishing and implementing the linguistic quality assurance process for the assigned language on a global scale as needed.
• Utilizing CAT technology to oversee the quality of outsourced language translations and external suppliers.
• Analyzing language quality concerns and collaborating with project management on quality improvement initiatives.
• Bachelor's degree in translations, linguistics, or language studies with significant translation coursework from an accredited institution.
• Bachelor's degree in another discipline along with 2 years of full-time translation experience (preferably in clinical translation).
• If lacking a Bachelor's degree, at least 5 years of full-time translation experience (preferably in clinical translation).
• Native Language: Italian.
• Experience with CAT/TMS tools is essential.
• Demonstrated experience with terminology and translation memories is required.
• Proven ability in multi-tasking, time management, organization, and attention to detail.
• Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication abilities.
• Proficiency in the MS Office suite.
