IT Team Lead – Application Development

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in North Dakota.

📋 Description

• Guides, mentors, and nurtures a team of Developers and technical members, cultivating a culture of continuous improvement and professional development.

• Collaborates in defining and executing product strategies, ensuring they align with both business and technical objectives.

• Co-develops and maintains a scalable roadmap, prioritizing features and enhancements based on business value in partnership with the Business Partner.

• Ensures that all development initiatives are customer-focused and aimed at delivering value to end users, integrating user feedback into product improvements.

• Supervises code reviews, testing, and deployment processes to guarantee high-quality outputs and compliance with coding standards.

• Guides the team in creating scalable, maintainable, and secure application architectures that meet business needs and technical specifications.

• Collaborates with other IT and engineering teams to design reusable services and APIs that support various applications and business functions, minimizing duplication and enhancing efficiency.

• Utilizes analytics and KPIs to track application performance, pinpoint bottlenecks, and drive enhancements in speed, reliability, and scalability.

• Owns the product backlog, ensuring clarity and prioritization for development teams and other shared service infrastructure teams.

• Facilitates cross-functional collaboration with Security, Infrastructure, DevOps, Product, and Business teams to create scalable, reusable services that enhance efficiency and drives technical decisions regarding application delivery, shared services support, and product lifecycle management.

• Conducts mid-year and year-end performance evaluations for direct reports.

• Ensures that shared services comply with security, compliance, and industry best practices.

• Translates intricate business requirements into technical deliverables, ensuring clarity across teams.

• Manages dependencies across various products and platforms, including shared services.

• Identifies opportunities to optimize systems, decrease technical debt, and improve automation.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, mathematics, or a related field, or equivalent experience.

• Over 7 years of experience in product ownership, product management, or a related capacity.

• Strong experience with shared services, enterprise software platforms, or technology solutions.

• Ability to oversee multiple cross-functional teams and operate in a fast-paced, matrixed environment.

• Exceptional communication skills, capable of translating technical concepts for business stakeholders.

• Background in software platform management, resource management, and project management.

• Experience in managing customer, vendor relationships, or external partners.
