IT Systems Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.

📋 Description

• Design and implement high-level projects, encompassing server migrations (Physical to Virtual), Microsoft 365/Azure transitions, and network renovations.

• Serve as the primary technical authority for the support team, addressing critical issues related to server failures, core networking, and security incidents.

• Proactively manage and enhance client environments utilizing our RMM and PSA toolsets to ensure 99.9% uptime.

• Apply and uphold security best practices (MFA, EDR, Backup verification) and technical standards across a varied client portfolio.

• Keep meticulous records of client configurations, network diagrams, and procedural "runbooks" within our documentation system.

• Support account managers during "Technical Business Reviews" by assessing hardware lifecycles and proposing technology upgrades that align with client objectives.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of experience in a Systems Admin or Engineer position (MSP experience is highly desirable).

• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft 365 (Exchange Online, SharePoint, Intune) and Azure (VMs, VNETs, Azure AD/Entra ID).

• Extensive expertise in VMware ESXi or Microsoft Hyper-V (clustering, SAN management).

• Solid understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, and VPNs.

• Proven experience in configuring business-class firewalls (e.g., Fortinet, SonicWall, or Cisco Meraki).

• Familiarity with enterprise backup solutions such as Veeam, Datto, or Acronis.

• Knowledge of RMM/PSA tools (e.g., ConnectWise, NinjaOne, HaloPSA).
