IT System Administrator, DATEV Focus

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.

📋 Description

• Installation, configuration, and continuous management of DATEV software solutions.

• Support for the system and network infrastructure associated with DATEV.

• Monitoring and enhancing system performance — fault analysis and troubleshooting, including user administration and customer assistance.

• Executing updates, upgrades, and patch management.

• Improving existing DATEV solutions with the aim of achieving standardization.

• Addressing DATEV-specific support tickets through phone, remote access, or in-person visits.

• Developing and maintaining documentation along with operational and security concepts.

• Collaborating closely with internal teams and external partners.

⛳️ Requirements

• Completed training as an IT specialist (Fachinformatiker), an IT degree, or a similar qualification.

• Hands-on experience in administering DATEV systems and software.

• DATEV certifications are advantageous.

• Strong expertise in Windows Server, Active Directory, networking, and virtualization (e.g., VMware).

• Experience with cloud technologies, preferably Microsoft Azure.

• Good understanding of database management (e.g., SQL).

• Analytical mindset and a structured, solution-focused working approach.

• Enjoyment in tackling complex challenges and engaging in direct customer interactions.

• Common sense — with an appreciation for the role of humor in daily work.

• Passion for new technologies and a high level of self-motivation.

• Valid driver’s license (Class B).

• Excellent German language skills (minimum C1) and good proficiency in English.
