This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Mexico.
• Execute a blend of strategic sourcing, contract management, performance management, and relationship management tasks for Avery Dennison’s Global IT Sourcing and Vendor Management team.
• Oversee the assigned portfolio, managing the complete lifecycle of all related IT Services purchases and strategic initiatives.
• Assist in achieving the objectives of the Vendor Management Office.
• Develop and implement high-impact, global IT sourcing strategies.
• Spearhead contract development, engage in contract negotiations, draft commercial terms, manage contract approvals, and facilitate post-execution contract oversight.
• Promote uniform vendor management processes, including leading annual executive evaluations for key vendors.
• A bachelor’s degree in business, supply chain, or technology is required, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Relevant experience in Global IT sourcing and vendor management, inclusive of managing third-party vendors, strategic sourcing, contract negotiation, and a comprehensive understanding of related procurement practices, processes, and industry trends is necessary.
• Proven knowledge and experience in supply chain, strategic sourcing, and/or category management, preferably related to Indirect Categories such as HR & Benefits, Finance, Legal, Risk, M&A, Tax, Communications, Treasury, Contingent Labor, and other Business/Professional Services.
• Experience in drafting and negotiating IT and Corporate Services contracts, including MSAs and SOWs.
• Familiarity with various sourcing, asset, and contract management practices/tools.
• Strong business acumen and a solid understanding of enterprise IT.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, including presentation abilities, with the capacity to advise stakeholders, effectively communicate with vendors, present to senior leadership, and cultivate strong, sustainable relationships.
• A sense of accountability and partnership in business.
• Skills in project and process management, with the ability to manage multiple vendors, projects, and a diverse range of tasks.
• A team player with a strong ability to collaborate with others both within and outside the immediate team.
• Responsible, proactive, well-organized, detail-oriented, and capable of working independently.
• Ability to influence all organizational levels, from senior leadership and below, both in team settings and as an individual contributor.
• Willingness to travel as needed, estimated at 10%.
