This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Guide and mentor multiple development teams, promoting a culture of collaboration, innovation, and ongoing improvement.

• Shape the technical work direction, ensuring it aligns with architectural standards and long-term objectives.
• Supervise the planning, execution, and delivery of intricate software development activities, ensuring timely completion, adherence to scope, and budget compliance.
• Oversee work progress, risks, issues, and dependencies, while communicating status and outcomes to senior leadership and other stakeholders.
• Eliminate barriers or obstacles for the team.
• Ensure that development work meets the highest standards of quality, security, and performance.
• Manage timelines, budgets, and resources for the teams and technologies within your purview.
• Provide advanced technical guidance and support to development teams, especially in addressing complex technical challenges.
• Ensure that development teams follow best practices in software engineering, including code quality, testing, and documentation.
• Champion the continuous improvement of the development environment, including tools, processes, and standards.
• Stay informed about emerging technologies and trends, assessing their potential impact on the organization’s technology stack and development practices.
• Oversee the performance, career development, and succession planning for team members, ensuring the organization is equipped with the talent needed for future needs.
• Facilitate knowledge sharing and collaboration across teams to enhance the effectiveness of the development organization.
• Conduct regular performance reviews, offering feedback, coaching, and support to aid team members in their professional growth.
• Serve as the primary liaison for business units and other IT teams, ensuring development efforts align with business priorities.
• Translate business requirements into technical solutions, collaborating closely with product owners and business analysts to deliver high-quality applications.
• Cultivate strong relationships with external vendors and partners, ensuring their contributions align with the organization’s development objectives.
• Continuously evaluate and enhance development processes, methodologies, and tools to improve efficiency and quality.
• Foster a culture of continuous learning and professional development within the team.
• Implement and monitor key performance indicators to assess team performance and delivery success.
• Optimize resource utilization across teams, balancing the demand for efficiency with the capacity for innovation and growth.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and/or relevant professional experience.
• 7+ years of experience in software engineering, including 3 years in a leadership or management position.
• Established history of leading multiple development teams and successfully delivering complex software projects.
• Proficient knowledge of several programming languages such as Java, C#, Python, or similar, combined with a deep understanding of software engineering principles.
• Strong comprehension of software development life cycle (SDLC) methodologies.
• Knowledge of scaled agile technical delivery, technical operations, or technical solutions architecture.
• Solid understanding of version control systems, CI/CD pipelines, and DevOps practices.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms, such as Azure, and modern application architectures (microservices, RESTful APIs, etc.).
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal abilities, with the capacity to influence and engage stakeholders at all levels.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills, focused on delivering value to the business.
• Capability to manage complex initiatives and programs, with experience in budget and resource allocation.
• Preferred: knowledge of the financial services or insurance industry and the various regulations in that space.
