IT Security SME – EHR Cybersecurity, ATO Lead

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Assist the ICE EHR Program in modernizing clinical operations by implementing a secure, integrated, and interoperable enterprise EHR across IHSC facilities nationwide.

• Plan and execute research, conduct design assessments, implement integration, and perform security engineering and other cybersecurity tasks.

• Oversee the implementation, evaluation, and maintenance of security controls, access management, vulnerability management, compliance, and authorization initiatives.

• Evaluate complex technical solutions for security risks and facilitate remediation, continuous monitoring, evidence development, and the creation of security documentation.

• Aid in safeguarding sensitive health information and other protected or mission-critical data throughout the system's lifecycle.

• Offer technical leadership in intricate cybersecurity and engineering domains.

• Coordinate security efforts among systems engineering and delivery teams.

• Supervise or provide technical guidance to a diverse team of systems engineers, as required.

• Carry out additional responsibilities as assigned.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Master’s degree along with 15 years of relevant experience is mandatory.

• Educational qualifications and experience may substitute for one another, but they cannot be counted twice.

• Each year of pertinent experience may replace one year of education, and vice versa, in accordance with applicable labor-category equivalency standards.

• Proven experience in leading cybersecurity engineering, security controls, vulnerability management, access management, compliance, and authorization tasks in complex enterprise settings.

• Demonstrated experience in assessing technical solutions, documenting security evidence, managing remediation, and facilitating continuous monitoring.

• Experience in providing technical leadership for complex security or systems engineering projects is essential.

• Preferred: experience in securing healthcare systems or environments that handle sensitive health information.

• Preferred: experience in supporting federal security authorization and compliance activities within regulated settings.
