This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Minnesota.
• Serve as the technical lead for essential security tools, including SASE, firewalls, DLP/CASB, web filtering, Microsoft Purview, and email security.
• Develop, implement, and enhance policies such as TLS inspection, DLP, URL filtering, and email controls.
• Propel platform improvements through research, testing, and collaboration with vendors.
• Review changes to infrastructure and applications prior to deployment to ensure compliance with security standards.
• Conduct regular configuration audits across network, cloud, endpoint, and identity platforms.
• Maintain configuration baselines, audit frameworks, and operational runbooks.
• Assess and authorize security-related change requests within core platforms.
• Troubleshoot platform issues and collaborate with vendors to resolve incidents.
• Respond to alerts, assist with investigations, and participate in on-call rotations.
• Collaborate with Security, Infrastructure, and IT Services teams to enforce standards and enhance operations.
• Facilitate scalable support through comprehensive documentation and knowledge transfer.
• Contribute to security services that support customer-facing MSP engagements.
• Assist with regulatory compliance initiatives (NIST, FFIEC, HIPAA, PCI, etc.).
• Monitor risks, audit findings, and remediation activities for managed platforms.
• Maintain security policies and procedures to align with regulatory requirements and risk appetite.
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to fulfill the essential functions of the job.
• 3–5 years of experience in security or infrastructure engineering.
• Practical experience with network security platforms (SASE, firewalls, DLP, web/email security).
• Familiarity with Microsoft security tools (Purview, Sentinel, Defender, Conditional Access) or similar platforms.
• Experience in reviewing configurations or performing security audits is preferred.
• Strong documentation skills and ability to collaborate across teams.
• Preferred Certifications: CISSP, Microsoft Security, Check Point, or SASE-related certifications.
