This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New York, +4 more states.
• Ensure the timely and budget-compliant delivery of a suite of identification system solutions for state government clients across the United States.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to establish the project scope, objectives, and deliverables.
• Assess the resources required for the project (time, budget, personnel) and allocate them appropriately.
• Create a comprehensive project timeline that includes key milestones and deadlines.
• Establish the initial budget for the project across all labor and expense categories.
• Anticipate costs for each labor and expense category as the project progresses.
• Track the financial performance of the project, ensuring expenditures remain within the approved budget.
• Generate financial reports to keep stakeholders updated on the project's budget status.
• Develop the baseline schedule for the project, aligned with the initial budget.
• Continuously update the schedule by adjusting the actual and planned start and end dates of each task, focusing on timely delivery.
• Report progress against the schedule based on milestones in relation to the baseline.
• Provide consistent updates to stakeholders through meetings, emails, and reports.
• Collect feedback from stakeholders and integrate it into the project plan as needed.
• Resolve conflicts or issues among stakeholders to maintain project momentum.
• Identify potential risks that may affect the success of the project.
• Formulate strategies to mitigate identified risks, including contingency plans.
• Continuously monitor risks throughout the project and modify plans as necessary.
• Assign tasks to team members based on their skills and expertise.
• Supervise team members’ performance to ensure timely and quality completion of tasks.
• Offer support and guidance to team members, assisting in the resolution of any arising issues.
• Collect performance data on the project, such as task completion rates and quality metrics.
• Analyze this data to identify trends and areas needing improvement.
• Compile detailed reports on project progress and present them to stakeholders.
• Fulfill various other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
• Proficiency in English (speaking, reading, writing).
• Willingness to travel approximately 4-12 weeks per year.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology (or a related field), or Business, or an equivalent combination of relevant education and additional professional experience.
• Familiarity with IT systems (infrastructure/applications and supporting technologies, methodologies, etc.).
• Experience in project planning, scheduling, and resource allocation.
• Knowledge of risk management and mitigation strategies.
• Skills in budgeting and financial management.
• Proficiency in Microsoft O365, Project, and Jira.
• Over 8 years of experience managing complex, large-scale IT projects.
• Strong critical thinking abilities.
