This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.
• Oversee Allata's Internal IT Operations function, taking responsibility for daily execution, service quality, governance, and operational priorities.
• Lead, mentor, and develop internal IT team members and support personnel, establishing clear priorities, expectations, and accountability while cultivating a high-performance team culture.
• Function as both a manager and active operator: Manage IT infrastructure, proactively troubleshoot, implement, and resolve technical issues, while guiding the team through effective delegation, support, and escalation management.
• Take ownership of and enhance the Microsoft 365 ecosystem, which includes Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive, and Microsoft 365 Copilot.
• Lead Identity & Access Management through Microsoft Entra ID, managing joiner/mover/leaver processes, MFA, Conditional Access, SSO, and access governance.
• Supervise endpoint and device management via Microsoft Intune, focusing on Windows provisioning, compliance, patching, hardening, and lifecycle management.
• Implement and manage security controls and governance aligned with NIST frameworks and related security standards, such as NIST CSF, NIST 800-53, CIS Controls, or equivalent protocols.
• Propel the execution of security and compliance practices, which include access reviews, least-privilege access, logging/monitoring, incident response support, vulnerability remediation coordination, and policy enforcement.
• Collaborate with leadership and cross-functional teams to ensure internal IT scales effectively in line with business growth.
• Establish and track operational KPIs, service metrics, and process health indicators to enhance support outcomes and promote accountability.
• Develop and maintain telemetry, dashboards, and reporting to provide insights into ticket trends, SLA performance, endpoint health, access patterns, compliance posture, and overall Internal IT operations.
• Utilize Power BI and similar tools to generate actionable operational reports for leadership and stakeholders.
• Drive process optimization and continuous improvement across support operations, onboarding/offboarding, access management, device lifecycle workflows, and security administration processes.
• Foster automation and efficiency enhancements using PowerShell, Power Platform, and related tools to minimize manual tasks and enhance service delivery.
• Facilitate the adoption, governance, and enablement of Copilot and similar AI-powered workplace productivity tools.
• Over 5 years of experience in internal IT, systems administration, workplace technology, or IT operations.
• Proven experience in managing individuals, leading a team, or supervising support resources in an internal IT or systems setting.
• Extensive hands-on experience with Microsoft 365 (Exchange, Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive).
• Significant hands-on experience with Microsoft Entra ID (MFA, Conditional Access, groups, SSO, access governance).
• Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft Intune (Windows endpoint management, Autopilot, compliance profiles, patching, device lifecycle).
• Proficient hands-on experience with PowerShell for administration and automation tasks.
• Strong hands-on experience with Power BI (or similar reporting tools) for operational dashboards and service visibility.
• Background in utilizing service metrics, operational KPIs, dashboards, and telemetry to enhance internal IT performance and support outcomes.
• Demonstrated ability in driving process improvement, operational efficiency, and service reliability within internal IT or support environments.
• Practical experience in implementing and executing security frameworks, controls, and protocols such as NIST CSF, NIST 800-53, CIS Controls, or related security standards.
• Experience working in a distributed, global context.
