IT Operations Lead

📋 Description

• Accountable for the hands-on execution, dependability, and security of Wifinity’s IT services and infrastructure.

• Lead a compact team of three, with substantial personal engagement in M365, Linux systems, Nutanix-hosted infrastructure, cloud platforms, monitoring, incident management, and automation.

• Ensure that essential IT platforms and services are resilient, well-monitored, and operationally effective, catering to both corporate users and operational teams.

• Oversee the complete delivery of IT Service Desk services and serve as a senior escalation point.

• Ensure clear prioritization, SLAs, escalation paths, and precise documentation.

• Take hands-on ownership of cloud infrastructure platforms (e.g., Azure / AWS).

• Guide and actively engage in major and intricate incident responses, coordinating resolutions across IT, Network Operations, and third-party vendors.

• Maintain precise inventories and ensure compliance with licensing.

⛳️ Requirements

• Strong, demonstrable hands-on experience with Linux in production settings.

• Proven expertise in managing and optimizing an M365 tenant, especially within the E5 license tier.

• Broad background in IT operations encompassing infrastructure, service desk, and incidents.

• Practical experience with cloud platforms, automation, and monitoring tools.

• Comfortable serving as both a technical lead and an individual contributor.

• Understanding of security, resilience, and operational risk.

• Calm, methodical, and at ease operating in live, operational environments, along with experience in leading a small team/line management.

• Experience in a Telco or service-provider setting is preferred but not mandatory.

• Familiarity with Nutanix, DNS, SharePoint, JIRA Service Desk, along with ITIL Foundation qualification, CompTIA Linux+ certification, or equivalent.
