IT Operations, Cybersecurity Specialist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.

📋 Description

• You will oversee daily IT operations for our clients while also engaging in internal security initiatives.

• Manage and provision users, groups, and licenses within Microsoft 365 or Google Workspace.

• Facilitate the onboarding of laptops (Windows/macOS) into MDM and coordinate remote device transfers.

• Address first-line support tickets (such as password resets and access requests) and escalate more complex issues as needed.

• Conduct weekly maintenance checks, including monitoring patch statuses, backup logs, and security alerts.

• Document resolutions and create runbooks to ensure processes are repeatable.

• Dedicate approximately 20% of your time to security projects, which may include CVE research and briefings, developing laptop hardening scripts, drafting incident-response playbooks, and creating ISO 27001 checklists.

⛳️ Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of practical experience in IT operations, helpdesk support, or systems administration.

• Demonstrated administrative skills in Microsoft 365 or Google Workspace, including user/group management, security policies, and basic troubleshooting.

• Familiarity with MDM platforms such as Intune, Jamf, or similar solutions.

• Proficient in at least one scripting language (PowerShell, Bash, or Python).

• Strong proficiency in written and spoken English; knowledge of German is an advantage.

• Reliable internet connection and a professional remote workspace.

• Self-motivated and able to work independently across various time zones.

• Preferred qualifications: Microsoft 365 Certified (Administrator Expert or Endpoint Administrator), Google Workspace Administrator certification.

• Experience with security frameworks such as ISO 27001, SOC 2, or comparable standards.
